New Beginnings

The timely implementation of crisis management measures group-wide allowed the company to weather the economic crisis better than most other Philippine corporations. With the worst of the crisis finally over and with the domestic economy starting to flex its muscles once again, the JAKA Group of Companies is likewise starting to look at the farther horizons. Katrina Ponce Enrile, who directly oversaw group-wide operations of the company during the crisis period was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2004.

Heeding the lessons learned during the protracted crisis period, the JAKA Group of Companies made the conscious decision to focus on its core competencies and conceptualized strategic plans to further to build on these specific strengths. Under the stewardship of Katrina Ponce Enrile, the JAKA Group of Companies proved resilient on the face of adversity and stands resolute in meeting the challenge of the future.
