INTRODUCTION

In 1974, the Philippines saw its stockmarket booming and the Philippine businesses enjoying brisk activities.  The principals of the company namely Juan Ponce Enrile and his wife Cristina C. Ponce Enrile decided that this might be a good time to start a business that would initially handle their own personal assets but eventually would emerge as a stable, reputable and profitable business organization.  With this vision in mind, JAKA Investments Corporation was established.  This Company would eventually be the holding company of all affiliates companies under the JAKA Group of Companies.
